Tarot Reading Sessions. Real Retired Couple Tarot Reading
Newly Retired Woman with Health Concerns and Desire to Travel
Today, I met with a woman who had driven a long distance to see me. She found my website online, which is typically how new clients find me. She had seen a reader in the past for several years who had retired, and she felt it was time for her to have another reading. She had several events that had happened recently, changes, and transitions, and wanted to talk about what that meant and what her life was going to look like going forward.
She has two grown children. They’ve both left home, one is living in another country, and her other child lives half a day’s drive away. She had retired from her job, and her husband was still working. He had scaled back his work, so they would have more time to travel together. That had come up in the reading when the outcome card, the Knight of Wands, was revealed. The Knight of Wands points to travel, and adventure. I said you must have many travel plans underway, and she said she did. They were planning on a cruise and another trip to Europe.
Genetic Testing for the Family and MS
She had several health concerns that appeared in her reading as The Four of Swords. Her health needed her protection pointing to where she’s the most vulnerable, suggesting a hospital stay. She had back problems and sciatica pain. Additionally, several members of her family had opted to have genetic testing for diseases. There was MS in the family. There are varying degrees of MS and she had a very mild form of it.
Furthermore, she was worried about her children and extended family members. This raised questions about how this would further impact her aging challenges and what decisions she would need to make because of it. The High Priestess card appeared in response to these concerns. I explained that the card validated her intuition. Her feelings about how this disease may affect her and her extended family members were accurate.
The Devil card had also appeared in the reading. I interpreted this as a recommendation for her to enjoy life. To be in the moment, seize the day. I suggested she live as if today is the most important day of the rest of her life. Perhaps she had been living too much in the future. Especially in this first year of her retirement, it seemed very important for her to have fun, travel, see her loved ones, and just enjoy what life she had left.
She then had some questions about her husband. His health appeared as the Judgement card. A card of rebirth. I explained that his reduction in work and responsibilities has given him a new lease on life, and has likely extended it! She was pleased to hear that.
She also wondered if they would stay together. The Queen of Swords card came up in response to this question. I explained that this card suggests she’s a widow and it’s very likely they will remain together until death do them part. She confirmed that every other reader has told her the same thing.
Will My Husband’s Investments be Fruitful?
Further, she asked questions regarding her husband’s investments. She wondered if he was excited about a particular investment and if it was finally going to pay off for him. The Two of Cups card appeared in response to this question. I explained that the Two of Cups isn’t a money card, it’s more about relations and feelings. The 2 cups suggest that he’ll be happy with the outcome. It may not make him a very wealthy man, but he will be content with it.
When she asked, “Will we be selling our house or when will we be selling our house?” the Ace of Wands appeared in response. I interpreted this as suggesting that they’ll be selling their house next summer.
She inquired if they would be leaving the city they currently reside in. The Death card appeared in response, which signifies a major change or transformation. I told her clearly that this investment her husband has made will pay off nicely for him and may encourage him to retire even more than he is at present. They’ll be selling their house and it seems like they’ll be leaving the city.
The Next Year Will Be Great – Seize the Day
It appears that over the next year, lots of changes are ahead for them, and generally, these seem to be positive changes. Her health issues are not looking like they’re going to affect her ability to travel and enjoy her retirement. Her husband’s health, represented by the awakening and judgment cards, seemed quite solid. It’s a matter of deciding what they want to see in their retirement together.
Overall, it felt to me like they were very blessed. She agreed with this sentiment, noting that both her children are happy, healthy, and fulfilled in their jobs. This brought great joy to her and her husband.
Part of my desire is to teach people about Tarot and how tarot readings work. If you know someone who is a reader themselves, feel free to share these reading samples with them. Additionally, people who enjoy coming for readings might find it interesting to learn a little bit about the behind-the-scenes process of how a reading is done and interpreted.
My client today mentioned that no other reader she’s been to has ever been anything like this. It was a first for her. Every reader possesses a unique way of approaching the profession.
